Dear Parents/Guardians
On Thursday, December 8, 2022, students in Division 1-4 from Bradner Elementary will be taking a school bus to the ARC Arena in Abbotsford, for a School-wide skating field trip, (Next to Yale Secondary School) leaving Bradner at 10:00 a.m. and returning around 12:40 p.m. We are asking kindergarten students to “please have a parent meet you there for your skating activity”, travelling by bus. The main purpose of this trip and its relation to the curriculum is: Physical Education.
The cost of bussing is provided by the Bradner Elementary PAC. The school is paying for arena rental, as well as skate rentals for Bradner Students only.
Parents and siblings please pay for rentals online https://abbotsford.schoolcashonline.com ($3.35 per rental for Parents/siblings) (Don’t forget helmets are mandatory for all students). Please bring your own helmet, as there are no rentals available. Parents and younger siblings are welcome, however, there will not be room on the bus. We ask that no older siblings attend. (Note: Fees may be waived from reasons of financial hardship. Contact your school administrator.) Any costs associated with this trip will be in compliance with AP 317 – Student Fees. ***Please do NOT send money with your child. Payment for fees should be made online. Materials needed: Skates, helmet, gloves, warm clothing.
** Use of vending machines is prohibited. Please DO NOT send money with your child for this purpose.**

On Wednesday, December 7th please bring in your child’s skates and helmet to the school. If you have an extra helmet, that you could lend to a student who does not have one, please mark it with your name and bring it in on Wednesday, as well. Parents and younger siblings are welcome to join in the fun at the Arena.
At this time, we are in a need of only a few parents to supervise and will be contacting those parents directly, based on the parent having a School District Criminal Record Check on file as well as based on the needs of the students and teachers.
