Parent Evening Series #6: Understanding Youth Mental Health

The District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) and the school district are excited to launch a new parent series this year. Intended to empower parents/caregivers with practical insights that can enhance their understanding and ability to guide their children through the complexities of today's world, we've partnered to bring in high-quality speakers and industry leaders for the 2023/24 school year.

Session #6: Understanding Youth Mental Health - Challenges and Resources

Join us for an informative DPAC Parent session focusing on the mental health challenges facing today's youth. Our speakers, Mental Health Clinicians Debra Cameron and Gabriel Canal, will provide a comprehensive overview of key issues including anxiety, depression, and self-harm. They will also highlight valuable resources for families and youth seeking support. There will be a dedicated Q&A session, offering you the chance to discuss your concerns and learn more about how to support our youth in navigating mental health challenges.
