It's June!
It is hard to believe, but we are nearing the end of the school year. I'm sure most of you feel that in spite of all the challenges this year, the year actually flew by! And although there are things we missed, and things we look forward to returning to normal, it was in fact a memorable and successful year in many ways!
As the end of June approaches, as always, we have good-byes to say. I am sad to say that Ms. S, Sonam Aquin, has taken a position at Sandy Hill Elementary in order to be closer to her home and son, who begins kindergarten in September. Ms. S has been with us two years and did a great job working with students who need support. She will be missed, but we wish her continued success at her new school.
Miss Diablo has been given an opportunity to work at Bateman Senior Secondary, so we will be getting to know a new ISW in September. Miss Diablo will be very much missed, but we wish her all the best!
We also bid congratulations and farewell to Inger Work, our school librarian. Your retirement is well earned and we wish you all the best!
Speaking of farewells, we have a unique and hopefully fun and memorable day for our grade five students planned for June 29. All our grade 5s are off to middle school for next year, and it is truly new beginnings for them all, as some head to Reimer Middle, while others will be attending other schools in Abbotsford or Langley. They are heading towards new adventures with new friends, opportunities and growing independence! Best wishes for a very successful transition. We know you will do well and make many more great memories! You will always be a Bradner Bulldog to us.
The rest of the staff at Bradner look forward to a terrific year for 2021 -22. But first, here's to a well deserved, restful summer for students, families and staff alike.
Take care,
Mrs. Jordan
