Week Two is Done!

Week Two is Done!

Our first full week of school is officially done, and we are in the full swing of our new school year. Students are in classes, teachers have established routines, school supplies are finally here! In many ways, it feels like we never left! Maybe it is the fact that Bradner is a small school, but it is so wonderful to see the students bonding with their teachers, playing with friends, both old and new, and shifting so easily back into daily school life.

I have been loving my daily walks around the school playground, greeting everyone by name this year! There is certainly a great deal of joy in being a part of a community like Bradner, and it feels so different to me from last year! I am very thankful for all the friendly faces, and the support that our students are able to take for granted from the families at Bradner. That being said, for many students there are some struggles. Whether it be an isolated incidence with a social situation, or ongoing struggles due to the anxiety, and everything in between, please be sure to reach out to your child’s teacher if you feel that they might need more support at school. At Bradner, we are all working hard to ensure every child has a good day.

A few things to remember as we move forward. Please always check in at the office if you arrive at school during classroom hours to pick your child or drop something off for them. This is District policy intended to keep students safe, and respect classroom time. For the same reason, if you wish to have a discussion with your child’s teacher, please schedule an appointment with them, or touch base during dismissal time (after school). Drop off time is not a good time for more than a quick sentence, as students are entering the classrooms, and require their teacher’s full attention.

Please also be respectful when taking pictures of your child at school. It is very important that you never post any photos to social media of students other than your own.

Our first Bulldog Assembly will be Oct. 1. I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible, to celebrate student achievements of this first month!

It's going to be another fabulous year at Bradner!
