First Full Week: Check!

We have made it through the first full week of back to school! Congratulations! As a team, we have succeeded in creating a joyful, safe place for students and staff to reconnect. Thank you all for your combined efforts!  It has been a bit of a learning curve, but the Bradner community has done a commendable job of learning new habits that will ensure that we keep our school healthy and happy.  Although things seemed a bit strange at first, we are quickly becoming automatic in our attention to the basic details that contribute to a safe school environment. Handwashing is becoming more automatic. Students are learning to move with attention to those around them.  I see everyone taking care to wait their turn, and the gradual arrival and dismissal of students is feeling more natural. Thank you parents, for being vigilant in checking your children for symptoms of illness. Keeping your child home when they are sick for any reason makes good sense under all conditions!  In school we are learning about good germs and bad germs, as well as appropriate ways to interact with each other, maintain our social connections and at the same time respect the boundaries for safe distancing. But we are also getting down to the business of reading, writing and numeracy! Our goal is, and will continue to be, to work, learn and play together in spite of Covid, maintaining Bradner Elementary as the exceptional learning environment that it has always been.

Please feel free to make an appointment with your child's teacher, or myself, if you have any questions or concerns.
